AnaEE-ERIC is proud to participate in this year’s FORECOMON Conference, where we will showcase our cutting-edge research on Mediterranean forest ecosystems and their resilience in the face of climate change.

Our Senior Scientific Officer, Biljana Đorđević, will present the abstract: AnaEE Research Infrastructure: Enhancing Understanding and Resilience of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems in a Changing Climate.

This presentation will highlight how AnaEE-ERIC’s pan-European platform—integrating experimental sites, controlled facilities, and predictive modeling—addresses the urgent need to understand and mitigate the impacts of drought, rising temperatures, and shifting precipitation patterns on these vital ecosystems.

Joining Biljana at the conference will be Michel Boër, Director General of AnaEE-ERIC, underscoring our commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in ecosystem science.

We look forward to engaging with the FORECOMON community and advancing our shared mission to protect and sustain Mediterranean forests for future generations.

Key Focus Areas

– Long-term experimental manipulations (e.g., drought simulations, nutrient additions) to study forest responses.
Harmonized protocols and open-access data to enable cross-site comparisons and reproducibility.
Evidence-based strategies for forest management, climate mitigation, and conservation in water-limited environments.
