What is AnaEE-ERIC?

Advancing ecosystem science in a changing world

Keeping agricultural, forest and aquatic ecosystems productive is a key issue for the future of the planet. In order to safeguard the services provided by ecosystems and to develop a sustainable bioeconomy, scientific knowledge is needed on how climate change, biodiversity loss and land use change affect these ecosystems. AnaEE offers capacities to develop multidisciplinary approaches combining experimentation, analysis and modelling services. It provides easy access to resources and research infrastructures, and rely on geographic diversity to access a wide range of ecosystems.

The EU-funded AgroServ project will study the threats and challenges and deepen our understanding of how to achieve a resilient and sustainable agrifood system. This transdisciplinary project will bring together all actors of the agriculture system. Farmers are the first, thanks to a wide offer of living labs across Europe. By delivering a Europe-wide data ecosystem, AgroServ aims to grow the agroecology research community and support the cross-fertilisation of knowledge.
