Ecosystems Understood, Future Secured

AnaEE France provides comprehensive access to experimental and analytical infrastructure for studying terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems across mainland France and overseas territories. The node offers controlled-environment facilities, in situ experimental platforms, and state-of-the-art analytical services supported by modelling pipelines. This infrastructure is made possible through two Ecotrons and eight experimental platforms, alongside specialized analytical facilities, all managed by expert scientific and technical teams from CNRS, INRAE, CIRAD, and the University of Grenoble Alpes.

Services are available for both controlled-environment and field-based experiments, enabling researchers to manipulate and monitor ecosystem responses to environmental change. The centralized access system facilitates project development, data reuse, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Support for accommodation and logistics is available at platform locations, and the node offers specialized assistance in experimental design, data management, and modelling approaches.

AnaEE France offers

Main ecosystem types covered : Forests (including tropical and mediterranean), Agroecosystems, Agroforestry, Freshwater lakes and rivers

Types of experimental infrastructure : Enclosed experimentation (ecotrons, lysimeters, artificial lakes and ponds, greenhouses, interconnected terrestrial or aquatic habitats), In natura experimentation (experimental fields, experimental forests, experimental agroforestry ecosystems, alpine grasslands)

Analytical and monitoring capabilities : Sequencing and other « omics » analysis related to ecology, monitoring of meteorological parameters, soil and biodiversity.

Data services and management : Base data, long term experimentation data or project specific data can be provided on demand or through online data wharehouses, depending on the facility

Specific expertise areas : wide range of expertise related to ecology and agroecosystems, covering all components of the ecosystems
