The newsletter also features an interview with Senior Researcher at Finland's Natural Resources Institute (Luke), Minna Kivimäenpää who studies plants now deprived of their traditional snow protection. Her environmental consciousness, formed in the 1970s when witnessing ecological negligence, guided her to environmental science with focus on plants and terrestrial ecosystems.
