Adriano Palma

Data and Modeling Scientist & Centre Leader DMC 

With a PhD in Energy and Environmental Engineering and many years of research experience, Adriano developed expertise in biomass valorization and remote sensing, focusing on emissions from bioenergy systems and geospatial analysis for ecosystem monitoring. In his role he collaborates on data services and modeling tools to support ecosystem research and align with FAIR principles. 

Janko Arsić 

Liaison Officer & EU Project Manager

Janko holds a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology and brings over six years of research experience in ecophysiology, focusing on forest ecosystem responses to environmental change. Prior to his academic career, he worked in the nursery and landscape industry. Within his role he works wih project development and stakeholders to align with ecological research and policy objectives. 

Rachel Burns

Scientific Officer & Centre Leader TC

Rachel has a background in environmental research, with a primary focus on greenhouse gas measurements from wetlands. She holds an MSc in Nature Management from the University of Copenhagen and brings both knowledge of ecosystem experiments and experience in EU research infrastructure coordination. In her role, she works to establish standardised protocols and harmonised workflows for ecological measurements. 

Dorra Gharbi 

Access Manager & Operations Officer

Dorra Gharbi is a specialist in environmental sciences with expertise in biological pollutants, their links to climate, vegetation, and human health. Her responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating researcher access to European ecosystem research infrastructures, overseeing calls, allocation, compliance and user support across transnational facilities.
